General Refund Policy

American Asset Lenders is committed to customer satisfaction. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while recognizing the nature of custom flooring installation work.

Deposit and Payment Terms

A deposit is required to begin work on your flooring project. Our payment policy includes:

  • 50% deposit required to start work
  • 50% balance due upon completion
  • Deposits are applied toward final project cost
  • We accept checks and major credit cards

Service Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel your flooring service agreement under the following conditions:

  • 7 days notice required: Written notice must be provided at least 7 days before work begins
  • Full refund of deposit: If cancelled within the 7-day period, your full deposit will be refunded
  • Partial retention: If work has begun, we may retain costs for materials ordered or labor performed
  • Material costs: Costs for special-ordered materials may not be refundable

Cancellation by American Asset Lenders

We may need to cancel projects due to unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Material availability issues
  • Weather conditions affecting installation
  • Site conditions that make work unsafe or impossible
  • Customer's site not prepared as agreed

In these cases, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work quality:

  • Installation warranty: 1 year on workmanship for all installations
  • Refinishing warranty: 6 months on refinishing work
  • Repair warranty: 3 months on repair work
  • No-charge repairs: We will correct workmanship issues at no charge within warranty period

Refund Process

To request a refund or report issues:

  1. Contact us immediately at (541) 479-0700
  2. Describe the issue or reason for refund request
  3. Provide project documentation and photos if applicable
  4. Allow 5-7 business days for processing
  5. Refunds will be issued by original payment method

Material and Product Issues

For problems with flooring materials:

  • Manufacturer warranties: Material defects are covered by manufacturer warranties
  • Material replacement: We will coordinate with manufacturers for defective materials
  • Installation of replacements: Replacement installation provided at no charge if materials are defective
  • Color variations: Natural materials may vary in color and grain - this is not a defect

Change Orders and Adjustments

Changes to the original project scope:

  • Written approval required: All changes must be approved in writing
  • Pricing adjustments: Additional charges or credits will be provided
  • Timeline impact: Changes may affect project completion date
  • Approval process: Changes must be approved before work proceeds

Site Preparation Requirements

Client responsibilities for proper site preparation:

  • Clear all furniture and personal items from work areas
  • Ensure adequate electrical power and lighting
  • Remove existing flooring as specified in contract
  • Provide adequate access to work areas
  • Protect existing fixtures and finishes

Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional charges or project delay.

Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about your project:

  1. Direct communication: Contact us first to discuss concerns
  2. Supervisor review: Project supervisor will assess the situation
  3. Management involvement: Management review for unresolved issues
  4. Professional mediation: Third-party mediation if needed
  5. Legal resolution: Oregon small claims court as last resort

Special Circumstances

Weather-Related Delays

Weather conditions may affect outdoor projects or material delivery:

  • Projects may be rescheduled due to adverse weather
  • No penalties for weather-related delays
  • Alternative scheduling will be arranged
  • Customers will be notified promptly of any changes

Material Availability

For specialty or custom flooring materials:

  • Lead times may vary and affect project timeline
  • Material deposits may be required for special orders
  • Cancellation policies for custom materials may differ
  • Alternative materials may be suggested if desired items are unavailable
